Antonietta Toni Gonzales-Collins works as a Mexican-American sportscaster. She works at ESPN as a anchor for SportsCenter and sometimes hosts SportsNation. Antonietta Collins is a bilingual woman and has been bilingual since the age of nine. This ability has helped her get her first work at Univision, Miami. She was able to work with national producers on programs such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. She divorced her parents shortly afterwards and in 1995 she tied the knot with an naval designer by the name of Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away in 2006 from kidney cancer. In the summer of 2006, she visited an entire week with her sister at Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl worked there. Antonietta was a senior high school student, but she had a very clear vision of what she wanted to do in her future career. She went to Mount Union University to see if it was a good fit for her. It was an amazing campus. The university also provided her with the program she was interested in. When she finished her high-school studies, she entered the University to pursue media studies. Mark Bergmann was her professor and also the head of WRMU where she's a member. They developed a close connection. He encouraged her to be self-confident and his passion for journalism was deeply affecting her as did she. She was determined to fulfill his expectations, and to never disappoint him.
